I mentioned in an earlier post that I'm going to run a race this weekend, a trail run race! I LOVE running on trails. That's what I miss most about living in Utah, trail running. I confess that I'm a bit nervous to run the race. I was just reading up on some rules and guidelines they have for the runners, and my adrenaline starting pumping a little bit. The last race I ran was my marathon in 2005, five years ago almost to the day! This race is 20K, 12.4 miles for us non-metric folk. While in Spokane two weeks ago I accidentally ran a 12-mile run (I didn't mean to go that far). I was tired, and the run was hilly, but it felt good too, like my body had been challenged in a good way. I'm confident that I can finish the race; just feeling those pre-race jitters. I'll see you at the finish line!
