Necessity is the mother of invention

As you know, I like to run. I run all year round, whatever the weather. This winter has been unusually dry, so I have been enjoying my runs unusually more than usual. But sometimes during the cold season my tummy gets cold, because I don't have a layer close to my tummy. I thought about this conundrum and realized I had a solution already in my home: the Belleband! You know, those pieces of fabric that you use when pregnant, when your pants are getting too small to button up, but you're not big enough for maternity pants? I put that baby on, situated it nicely around my mid-section, and went for my morning run in 30-degree weather. My tummy stayed nice and warm for the most part.

We're headed to our "homeland" tomorrow and we're all very excited. I don't think Teddy will like being in the car that long, but hopefully he'll sleep his woes away. I am especially excited to see my sister and her family. We don't get to spend much time with them. This year our Christmas is incredibly simple, and I've really enjoyed the low level of stress and purchasing of unnecessary gifts. May we all remember the true reason of the season, the birth, life, Atonement, and resurrection of our Savior. Merry Christmas!

Way to be resourceful! Isn't it great when one thing can be used for various purposes.
