Onward and upward

Heavenly Father loves me and knows the desires of my heart.  Living in this extremely nice condo has been extremely difficult for me because it wasn't at all what I was expecting.  I've found through parenting that unmet expectations upset me greatly, so I'm trying to let go of unnecessary ones.  But that's another thread.

When we first moved here and I was so sad for so long, I prayed to know if we could move away immediately.  The answer was no, and I cried.  But then I received the prompting that we would move in August, and HH and I had no idea how that would come to pass.  The property management company said we weren't able to "assign our lease" (have someone take it over), and we didn't want to pay money to break the lease agreement because we are living here for only 14 months.  Two times I composed an email to the management company to beg them to let us assign our lease, but each time the Holy Ghost advised me not to send it.  Thank goodness I listened!  At age 31, I am finally getting wiser.

Unbeknownst (a cool word) to me, HH emailed the company and also asked if we could assign our lease, and laid out reasons for the allowance.  They said yes!!!!  HH gave me the good news as a late birthday present.  We posted our condo on craigslist last Monday and all was resolved by Friday.  Amazing!

I know it's silly of me to dislike where I live so much, especially considering what a lovely town it's in and that it's an extremely nice condo.  And I know that Heavenly Father didn't have to give me this blessing.  I could have "toughed" it out the last five months, but I am so grateful that He loves me and cares.  Because we are able to move in August 1) the three older kids will be at grandma's house for nine days so I can move without little ones underfoot needing to be entertained, 2) Kj will be able to start school at her new school at the beginning of the year and not change schools mid-year, and 3) we won't have to move during the rainy winter months.

We will be very sad to leave our ward and this nice town.  It is high unlikely we will find housing in our ward boundaries and this city, as we really want a 4-bedroom and housing is expensive here.  On to house hunting!!!

But now you have to find a new place to live in two weeks?? Wow! That's a different kind of problem. Good luck. I'm glad it's working out the way you hoped. Sherwood is so great, though; maybe you'll be able to stay.

Good luck with the move. Sounds like a whirlwind but it probably won't be so much of a bother since that's what you desire.

Happy Late late birthday
