In the family way

Yup, you guessed it, our happy little Mormon family is at it again! Jonas and I are expecting our second baby to arrive around February first, and hopefully this one won't be two weeks late (eh hem, Kjersten). We are so excited! I haven't felt sick yet (yeah!), just tired. I took a nap on my days off of work this week, so I'm really looking forward to quitting my job. Have I mentioned that yet? I am officially quitting my job on July 11th. It's my birthday present to me. I'll stay on as on-call, and look for another on-call position with a home-health company, but if I don't find anything, it will be okay. Ideally, I would work a little bit to keep my hand in the "business."

So names. Actually, gender. We didn't find out what gender Kjersten was, and really enjoyed that experience. But I think I might like to find out what it is sometime, so I could prepare for it. But then, I have all the baby stuff I need; I'm just lacking in boy clothes. And because we didn't know the gender with Kjersten, most of the 0-3 month clothing is unisex anyway. Do you care? Thoughts anyone?

Onto names. For a long time, Jonas has said he would like to name our firstborn son after his best friend, Daniel Seth Daines, except that we would name the baby Seth Daniel, because I like the name Seth more than Daniel. Sorry, Dan. But Jonas isn't so sure about that anymore. Hmm. We also like Joel, Asher, I like the name Gabriel/Gabe and Drew. For girls, we are debating between Kleone (my mother's name. So unique and pretty!), Sariah, Natalie, and Diana. I say let's just wait to see the little booger before we name it.

Apparently our baby is smaller than a grain of rice at present, so not much to see yet, although I already have a pooch. Lame sauce! I think there will be a little more of me to love this time around. :) A pregnant friend of mine has a cool thing on her blogger panel that shows the progression of the fetus growth. I'm a bit challenged when it comes to blogs (hence the boring layout), but I'll try to get it on there. Thanks for visiting!

Hurrah! I'm excited we'll be right there as baby #2 arrives right on time, or early. I like all of your names except Asher. I don't know why, but I've never loved that one on non-Jewish kids. Plenty of time to decide!

Shauna congratulations. I hope that you get all the love (and self esteem) that a new baby can bring. As for names, we are due in August and still cannot decide on a name for our little boy. Boys names are just not as much fun as girls. Good luck. That will be a wonderful blessing.

Hey Shauna! I just got on and looked at your blog (finally---I had to figure out Kevin's google account password).

rd34fte...okay, that was Rachel adding her two cents, now back to me...

What fun videos of Kjersten! She is so cute! I wish we were closer so the girls could play and we could, too. It would be a blast!

Congrats on "quitting" your job!! How much do you think you will end up working on-call?

So, we are definitely not 100% decided on names yet, but I am really feeling like this little boys is a Seth, so I laughed when I read your list of names. Maybe it is good we don't live too close so we could both use it! Seth Kevin Johnson doesn't exactly flow, but then again nothing flows with Kevin as a middle name. Kevin isn't saying much---he says I'll change my mind ten times between now and October anyway, so he'll just wait until closer to take anything I say seriously. Probably true.

How are you feeling? Hope you are doing well!!
