Who needs toys?

It is wonderful that Jonas is done with his finals! He got to come on errands with us yesterday, and we bought two toys for Kjersten, spending about $1.75. Jerry's, a hardware store, was our first toy pick-up, though we weren't at Jerry's for toys. On our way to the checkout stand we saw a display of foam covers for pipe insulation. They were $1.38 each, and I told Jonas to grab one for Kjersten. She loved carrying it by herself through the store and to the car. Jonas cut it in half (it was about six feet long), so now she has "foam sticks" to play with. I'll attach a picture when I get one.

Old Navy was another stop of ours, and I bought her a $.25 bouncy ball on a whim. I don't usually buy things on a whim, but I figured it was okay to indulge the 25 cents. Okay, so I guess we did buy her one official toy.

I can't believe that Christmas is so soon! I have one package left to send, and a small stocking stuffer for Jonas to purchase that will be from Kjersten. I am so excited to tell you what I got for Jonas, but that will have to wait until after Christmas. He is itching to know, but I will not relent! In fact, all his pestering strengthens my resolve to keep my secret hidden. Are any of you surprising the ones you love? I love surprises!
