Family fun

This past Saturday was a great family day for us. The whole weekend was really good, actually, mostly meaning that Jonas and I didn't fight over those silly things that we fight over. We drove up to Salem first so Jonas could use his gift card to Sportsman's Warehouse. Jonas couldn't find anything he needed/wanted in our price range, so I got to buy three cute Columbia shirts, each for just $10! I feel bad about using his money, but I'm excited to have new clothes. I am a woman, after all.

We then drove up to Portland to go to the children's museum. Kjersten's favorite parts were the Bob the Builder gravel pit and the water works area. She played with those rubber ducks for quite a long time. She also did well playing around the bigger kids, especially boys. The boys kept running into her as they played around her, but she didn't complain once. She did throw quite the fit when another little girl took her blue duck (Kjersten had three other ducks), but she got over it. It will be fun to take her to more museums as she gets older and her attention span lasts longer. We spent two hours there and had a great time.

On our way home we stopped by the Portland, Oregon temple for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Kjersten loved seeing it because Jonas and I talk about the temple and try to go once a month. She loved seeing the angel Moroni at the top, and kept saying, "We love the temple!" It was really cute.

Sorry for the poor quality pictures from our adventures. It's hard to get good lighting in a museum with our little camera.

Yeah for family fun. I'm glad you had a good day. Your last trip to Portland before the baby comes, huh? We'll have to go to the museum together sometime.
