It's not exciting, but it's my life

Malia is two weeks old now! We went to the doctor today, and she has gained almost a pound, weighing in at 8 lbs 8 oz. Go Malia! She's a pretty good baby, but I decided that newborn is not my favorite stage, though they are so cute and snuggly and I love rubbing my cheek on her soft fuzzy head.

My life is consumed by feeding children, changing diapers, and keeping my house in order. It's funny to me that I have such a hard time getting things done. We are going to Washington this weekend for Jonas' sister's wedding. I'm excited to get out of town, but not looking forward to the drive. Thankfully, my ever-generous sister, Amy, is lending us her portable DVD player. I'm going to try to keep Kjersten busy until the half-way point, but really, I don't care how many videos she watches as long as she's happy. I hope that Malia sleeps most of the way. We're going to stop in The Dalles (which is one of the weirdest names for a city I've heard) for lunch and to see our friends. And while we're in Washington, I'll get to visit my grandma and hopefully a couple of other friends too. Yeah for seeing friends! Wait, you don't care about my trip itinerary.

Ummmm, I eat too much and I need to start exercising soon. I can squeeze into my normal clothes, but I have this unattractive pooch peeking out through my shirts. Lame sauce. After this weekend, it's go time.

Malia is cute! And we have the same tablecloth that Kjersten is on. She is cute too! Have a good trip. I bet Malia will sleep a LOT.

She is such a cutie. I hate that time in between having a baby and wanting to get moving. My belly is also lame sauce and I'm scared it will be a little more stubborn this time around. Hope all is going well.
