Happy 1st Birthday, M!

Our little M turned one year old yesterday. As a special treat, she got four shots, some Motrin, and a German chocolate cake. Lucky girl. We had the Veggie Bunch over for dinner and cake, and "opened" her presents (none of them were wrapped). I love one year birthdays: they don't know what's going on, so there's no pressure! She got lots of books (she loves to sit down and "read"), and some cute clothes from Grandma D. Goombaw and Papa are coming down to visit for the weekend. We are really looking forward to their visit!

M is a very sweet girl, though too attached to mommy. I'm sure I'm partially to blame, at least. She's walking like a champ, and is trying to say all sorts of words: ball, bath, baby, duck, poop, please, hi, bye, and of course ma-ma and da-da. She's healthy, has four teeth with one more coming in, and has a sporting mullet growing. I'm so proud. We're teaching her how to sleep through the night: some nights are better than others. She loves babies, which is so funny because she's still a baby to me. And she loves to sit on the potty and toot. If you are having a sad day, come on over and I'll put M on the potty for you. Her face turns red from the effort of pushing out the toots. It's stinkin' funny. All in all, she's a good baby, and we love her very much.

We're so glad you're with us, M!

Where were you on the night of the 27th?

I am a bad aunt! I didn't call. I forgot. I am sorry. But sitting and tooting does sound both stinkin' and funny. M is so cute!
