family ties

This is my family!  Too bad I forgot to put make up on this day.  I think we're a good-looking bunch.

Christmas was fun! I ate soooo much bad food. Our family played together. We went sledding at a local mountain. Kj LOVED the snow, M wasn't so fond of it. We went down on the tubes only twice, but that's okay. Now I know to not pay to go sledding until the kids are older and can enjoy it. But we can drive up the mountain and take our own sleds, which I hope to do with Kj one more time this winter. We attempted family pictures with all the cousins in their cute Children's Place matching Christmas clothes, and of course it turned out horribly. Two of the four families are trained well for pictures. My girls and one other sister's are not. I laughed so hard I cried, watching them trying to take pictures. Kj and M both had their fingers in their mouths, Kj kept pulling her "furrowed brow" look, and one cousin refused to be in the pictures all together. I'm chuckling now.

J and I served Christmas dinner and it was yummy! J made his Swedish meatballs, and we had the usual side dishes. The kitchen was a mess!

I wished that I could have spent more time with just my sisters, all four of us together. That's what girl trips are for, I suppose.

My poor brother got picked on a lot, but he's a trooper. He has four older sisters, meaning he has five mothers, but I tried to not mother him this visit. :)

Happy New Year to you!

Me and my siblings.

M looking lovely with strawberry jam all over her face.

I am still not able to chuckle about Katie and her picture rebellion. But Kj is priceless in that last picture. I LOVE that one!

Oh my gosh, that last picture is so funny! The chaos behind and then the hilarious frowner in front. I love this.
