The pregnant scoop

I am 13 weeks and one day pregnant, and feeling pretty well. This pregnancy has been easier than the first two, so J and I are really hoping its a boy this time. A girl will still be loved though. I am the fourth daughter and like to tease my parents how there are hardly any pictures of me as a baby, because the female baby novelty had well worn off by the time I came around. I read in the sister's-just-older-than-me baby book that my Dad said when he saw they had a third daughter, "Well, maybe next time, honey." Boy, was I a disappointment! :)

We decided that we want to find out the gender this time. After having been surprised twice, I want to know if it's a boy so I can be prepared.

I've been running during this pregnancy, something I've never done before. I've slowed down a bit, and discovered that if I run more than 6 miles, my hips hurt for the rest of the day. So I'm not running much, but enough to maintain some semblance of fitness.

Thankfully the food aversion isn't as strong this time. I had a really hard time eating with the girls, and thus gained only the necessary weight but no more. I have some food aversion this time around, but eating isn't a such a challenge, so I might have more weight to lose.

Is this post boring? I feel bored writing it. I'm excited to go to my first appointment next week to hear the heartbeat and all that jazz.

Being pregnant is kind of weird.

I hope your baby is cuter than the creepy one swimming around the top of your blog! Your Valentine's background is very cute. And being pregnant is weird. I can't wait for you to find out!

Congrats! That is so exciting! I am glad that this pregnancy is a little easier. Way to go on running! Enjoy while you can!

Hmmm, if I run more that six miles (which has happened only once in my entire life) everything hurts and I need to collapse. Way to be fit, Shauna!
