a parting
My girls just left for a four-day trip to Washington. They are riding with my parents and will be staying with my in-laws. I have been looking forward to this reprieve for about a month, but it started to hit me last night how much I will miss my children. This morning as I watched and listened to them, their little voices and their subjects of conversation, I better realized how I love who they are. M was especially snuggly with me this morning, wrapping her sweet little arms around my neck and holding me close. I am really enjoying this time in their life because they are so teachable and innocent. I trust they'll have a great time at grandma's house, and I know I will be so happy to see them again on Saturday. I love my girls.

Woah! I didn't know that. How did you get mom and dad to take them on an 8-hour trip? I need to try that!
I asked them and they said yes. :) I also emphasized that it was just one day, one trip, one-way.
I hope you just lived it up and didn't spend too much time missing them!
