Happy New Year!

I know, I know, I'm late on the uptake, but Happy New Year to you anyway.  I hope you had a great holiday season.  We had a lot of fun spending time as a family. HH didn't work between Dec. 24th to Jan. 2; it was awesome!  I can't remember the last time he had such a long break from work.  New Year's was especially fun.  We drove down south to spend New Year's Eve there, swimming and playing with all the cousins, but I must say, it was very strange to spend the night in a hotel.  After living there for five years, staying in a hotel felt unnatural.  But thanks for hosting, Veggie Bunch!

We are settling into our new surroundings.  Kj loves her new kindergarten, thank goodness, and we have a lot of families nearby with children the same age as ours.  Little Man, HH and I have been sick the past couple of days, and a neighbor friend and  walking buddy of mine have been so helpful already.  I miss my family and friends of the our old city, but it's nice to already have a support network after being here only two months.  And I've really been enjoying the sunny days, although it is so cold in the morning.  Living in the Pacific Northwest has turned me into a weather wimp.  26 degrees is very cold to me.

Oh!  We found out the gender of our baby.  Here it is!

I love kids in costumes, by the way.  I got them all ready to take the picture and then they rushed to the costume box to put something on, silly kids.

Yes, poor Little Man is going to be surrounded by sisters.  With my first three children, I didn't really know what they were going to be, but I was pretty sure that this one was a girl.  Some names we are considering are Eleanor, Natalie, Elise, Celeste, Cora, and I kind of like Sophie and Daphne, but Eleanor is the top contender, and will probably stay that way.  Now we need to find a simple, one-syllable middle name.  Any suggestions?

I love my kids.  They are so sweet and play all day long.  It's hard when both parents are sick, but the girls especially play so well together that it hasn't been very difficult.  And thankfully Little Man threw up only twice.  Whew!  It could have been so much worse.  We'll see if the girls catch it.  I hope not, but not counting on it.  Did I mention that I went to bed at 9 and woke up at 7:30 this morning?  Getting lots of sleep does wonders for the body.

Thanks for checking in on us!  Please leave a comment if you stopped by to visit and have a great week!

That picture of your kids is so cute! Love it.
Anne is always a good middle name. Seems like everyone that has a middle name uses Anne. At least, that's what people tell me when they find out Anne's name. :)

I am excited for you! Crazy that you'll be Mama to 4 now! I hope you're doing well with the move, pregnancy, and all other transitions and adjustments. I think of you often!

Love Eleanor. That name has my vote. Feel free to use my middle name - Lee - since it's one syllable. :) Jane would be cute too.
